I wander towards the misty corners of my internal landscape. There are wolves in the distance sitting on a rocky outcrop, they disperse as I approach, tails low. Scattering in all directions into the expanse of my mind. I reach the precipice and scramble down the chalky vertebrae, tumbling rocks fall either side of me. I notice a bleached ram skull of bodies past. On the horizon a mossy, glossy, green forest floor swells with every in-breath. I exhale fear and doubt with a universal sigh. Invisible life force, purposeful exploration, I wander deeper. Above me squirrels chase up and down the bark of my rough spine column, coiled helixes of spirited energy. I smile as they playfully pursue each other. A rusty hen is nesting in the bushes, wearing a healthy red crown she is sat proudly nesting over my ovaries. Releasing her golden egg it floats down the fallopian pathway in slow motion. She squawks enthusiastically as she stands to watch it descend. The path continues until I reach a body of water. I sit with a blanket around my shoulders as I stare at the silver reflection of the omnipresent moon. Suddenly I sense a frog hopping from his liver lily pad to a kidney where the murky water surrounds him on all sides. Thoughtfully he rests, his chest pulsating with his own life rhythm. He’s smiling broadly on his island. From the depths of the muddy water grows a single lotus flower, a bud ripe with life. It is not yet ready, to burst and bloom. It’s hidden colour tightly shrouded.
Anticipation surges. I continue to look around, I feel the cold breath brush through my hair and the golden sun warms my pale skin A bright fleshy, fish swishes its tail, gliding amongst the coral of my capillaries.
Shells and wilderness, skulls and stars they all dwell within me. A micro kingdom of adventure, joy and wonder. Discovery, deserts, oceans and mountains. A supernatural planet of beauty and purpose. Soaring visionary eagles and prowling predators. They dance, they organise, they harmonise. They throb with prana.
